Jessie & Isaac’s Wedding at Devotions Chapel

A Lakeside Proposal

In recent years, Isaac and Jessie have made a point to go camping at Lost Lake, Wisconsin. “This is a very special place for us, where we like to go fishing, hiking and relax.” In June of 2021, the two were there fishing on the lake and watching the loons. Isaac tapped Jessie on her shoulder, and at first she thought there was a bug on her. But when she turned around, Isaac was on one knee, ring in hand. “It was the most magical day of our lives, besides our wedding!”

Wedding Planning

While planning their wedding, Jessie and Isaac attended the Wedding Show – Winter Edition at the Resch Expo. Jessie found her dress at Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique in Green Bay after trying on about 10 gowns. “I fell in love with my dress almost as soon as I saw it,” she says. “It made me feel like a princess when I wore it. It was simple, yet elegant, I love that it wasn’t poofy, rather more of a straight fit. It brought tears to my eyes every time I would look at it. I could picture myself walking down the aisle to Isaac in it!” As for Isaac, he found formalwear at DuBois in Green Bay. To complete the picture, the bride and groom chose rings from Scanlan Jewelers.

Wedding Venue: Devotions Wedding Chapel

Isaac and Jessie chose to have their rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at Devotions Wedding Chapel in Greenleaf, Wisconsin. “We loved the relaxed atmosphere at Devotions. It is absolutely gorgeous inside! We loved that we could have both our ceremony and reception at the same location.”

“Wendy, the owner of Devotions, was so helpful. She organized everything for us from decor, to catering! She set up the chapel for us for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. She made the wedding day so much less stressful, and we were able to fully enjoy the day without any worries.”

Devotions Ceremony
For both their ceremony and reception, Jessie and Isaac kept things rather small and simple. “We had 110 guests, mainly family and close friends. Our favorite part of the ceremony was the unity sand. We played a beautiful song by Ruelle, ‘I Get To Love You.’ As we walked out of the chapel, we got to ring a big church bell. It was a moment together we will never forget!”

Devotions Reception—and Woodfired Pizza!
After the ceremony, the bride and groom went to Fonferek Glen for photos before kicking off the reception. Dinner was woodfired pizza from Oley’s Pepperoni Cannoli out of De Pere. “It was really neat to watch the chef make the pizza on the woodfired oven and serve it fresh and hot.” Drinks were all self-serve with coolers of beer, seltzer, wine, and more. “This was a fun way for us to make sure everything was casual and enjoyable for people.”
