The Beginning
How they Met
Brianna and Cody’s story started in an unexpected way. They first crossed paths at work, but their first connection was a little mix-up on Facebook. Brianna thought she was adding an old school friend named Cody—who happened to share the same name, profession, and even profile picture as the man she actually added. As fate would have it, the “wrong” Cody turned out to be the right one. Not long after, the two officially met at the hospital, where Cody was working as a police officer and Brianna as a phlebotomist.
The Proposal
Throughout their relationship, Brianna and Cody loved taking little getaway trips to the Wisconsin Dells. On one of those trips, Cody had planned a romantic dinner and a proposal. But, as with many good love stories, things didn’t quite go as expected. Their hotel room wasn’t what they hoped for, which put a damper on the mood. While Cody went to the front desk to sort it out, Brianna’s phone died—and since she forgot her charger, she rummaged through his backpack to find one. What she didn’t realize was that the engagement ring was tucked into the same pocket.

The Ceremony
Brianna and Cody exchanged their vows at Simply Church in Suamico, Wisconsin, surrounded by the warmth of their loved ones. As the music of “Biblical” by Calum Scott filled the room, Brianna walked down the aisle to meet Cody at the altar. The space was beautifully decorated with aisle flowers and a wooden arch, creating a simple yet meaningful backdrop for their promises.
One of the most powerful moments came when their family and friends joined together in prayer over them, filling the room with love and blessings for their new life together. Before the ceremony, Brianna and Cody chose to share their personal vows privately. Then, standing hand in hand in front of their pastor, they exchanged traditional vows before saying the words they had been waiting for: “I do.”
Capturing the Day
Brianna and Cody had Alexia Ann Photography there to capture all the special moments of their wedding. After the ceremony, they headed to Barkhausen Waterfowl Reserve, where the fall colors were showing off in the most beautiful way. The golden leaves and peaceful setting made the perfect backdrop for their photos and gave them memories they’ll treasure forever.

The celebration continued at Stadium View, where family and friends gathered for an evening full of laughter, dancing, and fun memories. Guests were treated to a family-style dinner of chicken and beef tips, paired perfectly with champagne and cold beer. For dessert, Brianna’s aunt made homemade cookies, and later in the night everyone enjoyed a round of late-night pizza.
The reception space was beautifully decorated with black linens, floating candle centerpieces, flowers and greenery on the head table, and a custom photo prop complete with a neon sign with their last name. Brianna and Cody shared their first dance to “Six Feet Under (Caleigh’s Song)” by Hardy. Brianna’s favorite part of the night was the dancing!
Advice from the Bride
Don’t stress over the small stuff, things will go wrong but the day will still be perfect. Focus on each other and that the day is about you and your love for one another! No one else’s opinion matters. The day is about you!
