Elegant, soulful, and full of love — Mitchel and Olivia’s wedding day was a reflection of everything they hold closest: faith, family, and a deep-rooted connection to one another. Set against the stunning backdrop of Stone Prairie in Brillion, Wisconsin, their celebration blended western charm with warm, romantic details for a day that was simply unforgettable.
The Proposal
A Surprise in the Field
Mitchel and Olivia share a lot of things — a deep faith, a love of the outdoors, and a passion for deer hunting. So when Mitchel called Olivia at work one November evening, saying he’d shot a buck and wanted to wait for her before tracking it, she didn’t think twice. It was exactly the kind of thing they did together.
But as they drove up to the land, Olivia noticed something was different. Lights flickered in the field ahead. And there, in place of a deer, stood a beautiful cross surrounded by glowing candles. As they walked toward it, Mitchel got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
The best surprise with lots of tears of joy!

The Planning
From Vision to Reality in Nine Months
With a September wedding date set and just nine months to pull it all together, Mitchel and Olivia got to work. Their vision was clear from the start: western elegance. Think warm pinks, rich browns, and soft taupe — a palette that felt earthy and romantic all at once.
Personal touches were thoughtfully layered throughout the day. Olivia’s uncle, Ben Jochman, brought their floral vision to life, while Olivia and her dad, along with Mitchel, handcrafted the custom sign holders and photo displays that added a meaningful, one-of-a-kind feel. Invitations were designed by L. Designs.
When it came to choosing a venue, the decision was instant. From the moment they arrived at Stone Prairie, they knew it was the one. Tucked into the countryside, it offered a setting that felt a world apart—elegant and beautiful with a natural, outdoor soul that reflected exactly who they are.
Even without hiring an outside planner, the couple felt fully supported by Stone Prairie’s in-house coordination team, allowing every detail to come together seamlessly and the day to unfold with ease.
As soon as we pulled up to the venue, we fell in love!

The Ceremony
Faith, Vows, and a Handbuilt Cross
The ceremony at Stone Prairie was everything Mitchel and Olivia had hoped for — deeply personal, rooted in faith, and surrounded by the people they love most. Officiated by Pastor Keith Schommer, the service opened with Hallelujah by Jackson Cannon playing as Olivia walked down the aisle.
The backdrop was something truly one of a kind. Mitchel and Olivia’s dad built a large wooden cross that anchored the ceremony space, adorned with a stunning floral arrangement crafted by Uncle Ben. It was the kind of detail that only family can create — meaningful in a way no vendor ever could be.
The moment that will stay with them forever?
Walking down the aisle & praying with all our friends and family was our favorite part, and having such a personable ceremony that was truly about us and our love for one another and how strong our faith stands in our marriage!
Capturing the Day
Liz Made It Feel Effortless
Mitchel and Olivia chose Timeless Touch Photography because, as Olivia put it, “it felt like us.” Photographer Liz kept every shot on location at Stone Prairie, and from the very first moment on set, she got them. She understood their vibe, made them feel at ease, and created space for their personalities to come through naturally.
“She felt our vibe and what we wanted right away and made it happen! She made us feel so comfortable and really let us show our personalities through our photos!”
The result? A gallery full of laughter, genuine moments, and images that feel as alive as the day itself.

The Reception
The Dance Floor Never Emptied
After the ceremony, Stone Prairie transformed into a reception that was equal parts elegant and electric. The décor was moody and intimate — amber glasses, pillar candles, flowing grasses and soft florals in dusty pinks and taupe. Simple, but stunning.
And then, the party began.
With music by The Music Cater and a dance floor filled with friends and family, the energy never faded. Their first dance to “Steady Heart” by Kameron Marlowe set the tone—romantic, heartfelt, and full of meaning.
It was a party! The dance floor was filled with all our friends and family and was such a blast! It was everything we could have dreamed of!!
From exceptional food and service to late-night bites that kept the celebration going, every detail came together to create a reception that was everything they had envisioned—and more.
Advice From the Couple
What is meant to be will be. Do not stress about small things — have an open mind about everything, especially the little stuff. Don’t let anything ruin the amazing process, as it goes so fast. Have the mindset that you are marrying the love of your life, and at the end of the day you will be married — and that is truly all that matters. You and your spouse.
