Surrounded by thirty of their closest loved ones, Jennifer and Jeremy celebrated a romantic, intimate, fairytale-inspired wedding at Devotions Wedding Chapel in Greenleaf. With personalized details, memorable family moments, and a stunning gown, their day was filled with meaning from start to finish.
THE BEGINNING
Jennifer and Jeremy’s story began during a quiet Christmas season in 2022, when they both decided to give online dating a try. Living two hours apart, they matched without realizing the distance — but the connection was instant. Months of messages led to a virtual call, and soon after, a first date that changed everything.
THE PROPOSAL
Edwin Brinx Winery was where their story truly began — the halfway point between their homes where they met for their first in-person date. They spent that afternoon wine tasting and talking for hours, continuing the conversation at a cozy bar in Beaver Dam. So when he planned to propose, returning to the place that started it all felt like the perfect choice.
On the morning of the proposal, he suggested a simple picnic. She didn’t suspect a thing, even volunteering to pick up sandwiches. During the drive, she was distracted shopping online and chatting until he casually asked if she’d prefer water or wine with lunch as they neared the winery. That’s when it clicked, and happy tears followed. They recreated their first tasting with the same staff member, added a dollar bill to the wall to mark their time together, and then found a quiet hilltop overlooking the vineyard.
As they walked through the vines, his nerves gave him away. He shared how meaningful the winery was to their relationship and, flustered with emotion, called her by her first and middle name — just like her mom used to. Then he knelt down to propose, accidentally opening the ring box upside down and forgetting to put the ring on right away. The moment was perfectly imperfect, filled with laughter, tears, and joy — a beautiful start to their next chapter.

THE CEREMONY
Held at Devotions Wedding Chapel, the ceremony was elegant and deeply personal. Wendy Stewart — the chapel’s owner — served as the coordinator, musician, and officiant, weaving together music, logistics, and expert guidance throughout the day.
Guests entered through a vintage chapel adorned with stained wood and stained glass, greeted by a custom sign and a “Newlywed Times” flyer. Lanterns lined the aisle along with roses, baby’s breath, and fresh floral accents. Wendy created a stunning floral installation on the wooden cross, incorporating special Black Beauty Roses sourced from The Ladybug in Berlin.
Jeremy walked down the aisle with his daughter to Piano Guys’ “Canon in D,” while Jennifer entered with her youngest son to the instrumental version of “A Thousand Years.”
Their favorite moment was the Expression of Love segment — where they exchanged personal vows. Jennifer even pulled a handkerchief from her dress pocket to wipe Jeremy’s tears. The unity candles symbolized their families joining together, followed by a rope-tying ceremony to honor the union of bride and groom. Afterward, they rang the chapel bells and stepped into a waiting horse and carriage.
CAPTURING THE DAY
Morgan Anne Photography beautifully documented the day, having worked with the couple previously for their engagement session, she made a perfect choice. Morning photos captured personalized silk pajamas, custom hangers, sparkle boots, rhinestone bridal boots, and Jennifer’s lace sneakers stamped “Mrs. Lehman” and “5.25.2025.”
Most portraits were taken at Devil’s River Campground, where waterfalls and rustic buildings created dramatic, natural backdrops. Back at the chapel, Morgan captured the stained glass, floral details, and the personal touches woven throughout the day.
Their videographer, Good Fruits Film, provided both a honeymoon sneak peek and a fifteen-minute final film, along with dozens of bonus photos that perfectly captured the energy of the day.

THE RECEPTION
The reception was hosted in the lower level of Devotions Wedding Chapel, creating a smooth, all-in-one celebration space.
Dinner was a four-course culinary experience by Osorio’s Latin Fusion, each paired with old-fashioned cocktails — a highlight that guests raved about. Every dish and drink reflected the couple’s love of exploring new foods together.
Tables featured floating candles, rhinestones, fresh florals, personalized wine glasses filled with chocolates, and carved wooden place names. Wine bottles with custom labels honored favorites from their first date, while Jennifer’s stepmother created a personalized coffee bar.
Their cake from Monzu Bakery featured white chocolate, raspberry, and chocolate crème brûlée layers, wrapped in fresh roses and rhinestones.
Music for the evening was provided by DJ Alex Pretzold (“Good Vibrations”), and the couple shared their first dance to “Love of My Life” by Sammy Kershaw upstairs in the chapel.
A few standout moments included a creative garter-and-bouquet alternative using candle favors with hidden ribbons — the winners being Jennifer’s youngest son and his girlfriend of three years — and the heartfelt, unplanned fifteen-minute toast from Jennifer’s oldest son that moved the room to tears.
LOOKING BACK
Jennifer described the day as family, fairytale, intimate, and romantic — more than three words, but she couldn’t narrow it down. Her biggest splurge was her gown and accessories, followed by fresh florals that filled the chapel with fragrance.
Their most unforgettable moment was the spontaneous and emotional speech delivered by Jennifer’s oldest son — a young man who rarely expresses his feelings.
ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE & GROOM
“Make the day about the two of you,” they shared. “It’s easy to get pulled in other directions, but this is your wedding. Communicate, stay strong together, and don’t let outside pressure overshadow what truly matters. Planning the day as a team prepares you for life together.”
After a ten-day honeymoon in Cozumel, the couple continues preserving their memories through keepsake projects and recommend using Pinterest and a shared Microsoft OneNote wedding notebook to stay organized throughout the planning process.
