Amy & Alex met through an online dating app in 2020.
In July of 2023, Amy & Alex went on vacation to Washington D.C. One day, as the sun was setting, the two were on the steps behind the Lincoln Memorial overlooking the water of the reflecting pool. Alex asked about taking a picture and the next thing Amy knew, Alex was on one knee proposing.

How many dresses did you try on?
“I tried on 6 dresses total, but the one I ended up going with was the first dress I tried on! I knew it was the one for me because I kept comparing every other dress I tried on to my dress. Once they put the veil on me as well, I knew it was my dress! They always say you will just know it’s your dress when you have it on and they aren’t wrong! I felt so confident and beautiful in my dress!”

First Looks:
Before the ceremony began, Amy and Alex did their first looks. Amy said that this, along with her first looks with her dad were something truly special.
Location:
Heritage Hill State Park– Garden Patio
Perched atop Heritage Hill, the stunning ceremony site boasts an amazing view of Green Bay! Overlooking the park and Lambeau Field, it provided a breathtaking backdrop for the day!
Ceremony Details and Favorite Moments:
Amy kept her decorations for the ceremony simple but beautiful. She used faux flowers purchased from Michael’s Crafts and Hobby Lobby to decorate the arbor. She even managed to incorporate the flowers from her mother’s wedding bouquet. Additionally, the ceremony space featured bows on the aisle chairs.
Memorable Moments:
“I think my favorite part of the ceremony was getting to hide in the building and watch all of my favorite people walk down the aisle. It was such a surreal moment and I will remember it forever!
My other favorite part was getting to walk down the aisle with my dad. I was so nervous before walking down and just being with my dad calmed my nerves. Again, it was a moment I will remember for my whole life!”

Location:
Green Bay Distillery
Cake/Dessert:
McKayla Marie Sweets
Music/Entertainment:
Will Nye the DJ Guy ( DJ Josh)
Why did you choose your venue:
Amy says that she and Alex came to know the Venue Manager at Green Bay Distillery really well over the last few years and it felt like being among family so it seemed the perfect place for their reception. Amy says, “they far exceeded our expectations for the day of our wedding and I am so happy with how everything turned out!”
Reception Details and Favorite Moments:
One of the wonderful things about having their reception at Green Bay Distillery was that the location could also provide the food and bartending services for the reception so the couple didn’t have to worry about hiring outside help. The couple had their first dance to “Can’t Have Mine” by Dylan Scott. Music was provided by DJ Josh from Will Nye the DJ Guy and the couple says they received a lot of compliments about it.
Amy says that “…just sitting up at the head table with Alec and taking a moment to look at all of the people who were there for us!” was one of her favorite moments. “It was so cool to just sit back and take in that moment and, like I said before, it is something I will remember for my whole life!”
What Was Your Biggest Wedding Splurge?
“I think my biggest splurges were my dress, my photographer, and my DJ and I would spend that money again 10 times over! They were all amazing!”
What Advice Would You Give Future Brides Planning Their Wedding?
“Enjoy the ride! Some days you will be so excited to plan your wedding and you will cross multiple things off your to-do list and other days you will sit there and wish you had just eloped!”
