Allison & Ethan said “I do” surrounded by family & friends in Mackville. The wedding celebration then moved to the dazzling candlelit Fox Club in Appleton.
Allison and Ethan met as kids in middle school in Greenville, Wisconsin. They became close friends in high school and never really considered dating, let alone being partners for life. However, their feelings developed further in 2019, when they took their friendship to another level and fell in love.
Ethan had planned a trip for himself and Allison to the Ice Castles in Lake Geneva. However, as they began getting ready to head to the fairytale-esque destination, they learned that it wasn’t set to open for the season until the following weekend. Allison didn’t understand why Ethan was so upset. Much to her delight, Ethan proposed on a walk alongside the lake near their hotel. He revealed his original plan, but improvised despite the derailment. Allison loved that he still asked her to be his wife.
Allison found her dream wedding dress at Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique in Green Bay. Her mother, grandmother, and sister (her matron of honor) accompanied her to try on dresses. She knew it was “the one” when everyone became quiet and then began to cry.
Allison and Ethan tied the knot at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Mackville. The couple wrote their own vows and read them aloud in front of everyone at their church ceremony.
Allison’s dad made a custom barn board sign that was centered on the guest card table. The sign now hangs about the couple’s bed at home. The lovely floral arrangements were designed by All Tied Up Floral Cafe in Appleton. Wedding Perfect, a professional wedding and event decorating company based in Appleton, turned the reception space into the most magical, candlelit space.
Allison and Ethan’s reception was held at The Fox Club at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Stadium in Appleton. For dinner, Allison and Ethan’s guests enjoyed plated entrées that consisted of tender chicken marsala, savory potatoes, and succulent green beans. Beer was free, and folks paid for wine and cocktails. The late-night snack was a nacho bar with all the toppings.
They hired their favorite band, Avenue 55, to play all of the music. The dance floor was full all night!
