Greenleaf Wedding at Devotions Wedding Chapel

This amazing couple celebrated the best day of their lives on Valentine’s Day.

How They Met

Elizabeth, who was born and raised in Green Bay, and Darrin, who was born in Lower Michigan and grew up in Green Bay, met through mutual friends at their car club. Darrin proposed to Elizabeth while casually making dinner one night. They simply knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

The Dress and Suit

Elizabeth found her dream wedding dress at Elaine’s Bridal. After trying on about four different dresses, she found “the one.” The elegant gown fit beautifully and needed very little alterations. Darrin’s tux was from Men’s Wearhouse.

Roots on Ninth in Green Bay created the couple’s beautiful bouquet and boutonniere.

The Ceremony and Reception

Elizabeth and Darrin were the lucky winners of the Devotions Wedding Chapel “Lucky in Love” contest. The chapel, along with a number of local vendors, selected Elizabeth and Darrin to enjoy an all-inclusive Valentine’s Day wedding. During the ceremony, they tied the knot — both literally and figuratively. Wendy Stewart, the owner of Devotions, led the couple in the age-old tradition of tying a knot to symbolize their newly formed bond. Darrin’s father traveled from Central Texas on short notice for their special day, which was a fantastic surprise.

The Food and Drinks

Elizabeth, Darrin, and their guests enjoyed a delicious family-style dinner catered by DeGrand’s of Denmark. The meal included roasted chicken along with stuffing, potatoes, coleslaw, and dinner rolls. The wedding cake was designed by The Cupcake Couture in DePere.
