Forever Love

Mikaila and Tyler fell for each other in high school and had been dating for 8 years when Tyler proposed. “I knew Tyler was trying to come up with something fun and exciting to ask me. He ended up asking me while we were ice skating on a pond in our backyard. Both his family and mine were there to see!” With years of happy memories together, the couple embarked on a new journey: wedding planning.

A Barn Wedding Dream

Mikaila and Tyler chose Mullberry Lane Farm for their wedding and reception venue for the beauty of the barn and for the special opportunity to spend their day with animals. Unique touches made their wedding day stand out. “We were able to explore the farm and pet all of the animals, and I was able to ride up in a horse and buggy with my father before he walked me down the aisle,” says Mikaila.

The Details

Mikaila’s bridesmaids wore sage green, dusty blue, tan, and gray dresses from David’s Bridal- all colors which beautifully complemented the lush greenery of the farm and the wedding day’s cloudy gray sky. Claudia Fritsche designed the girls’ hair and makeup, and Ken Cravillion captured treasured moments throughout the day.

Elaine’s Wedding and Event Center had Mikaila’s perfect dress: a stunning Maggie Sottero gown with a sweetheart neckline and a delicately stitched train. Tyler and his groomsmen were outfitted by Men’s Wearhouse, and the couple exchanged rings from Kesslers.

Catering and More

Guests were served barbeque from 4 Schmidts and Giggles including favorites like pulled pork and chicken, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread. Mikaila and Tyler loved working with Valley Liquor, noting their amazing service. “They were compliant, fun, and easy to work with.” For dessert, guests stepped outside for cookies and a cold treat from Moo ice cream truck.

Happily Ever After

Tyler, Mikaila danced the night away with their friends and family under the gorgeous twinkling string lights of Mullberry Lane Farm’s rustic dark wood barn. To kick off their new chapter, the pair will honeymoon in Jamaica!
