Wedding of Matt & Sarah at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms
How They Met
Matt and Sarah met through a mutual friend. They began dating in July 2016, bought a house in September 2019, became engaged in March 2021, and said their I do’s in September 2022.
The Engagement
Matt and Sarah were hiking at Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve in Grafton before dinner. Throughout their hike, Matt kept trying to find benches, which confused Sarah. As it turns out, he was simply trying to find a bench with concrete underneath so he could go down on one knee without getting muddy before dinner!
The Dress
Sarah tried on about 20 different gowns but nothing compared to the one she tried on at Elizabeth Jacobs Bride in West Bend, saying: “I caught myself always comparing it to that one, so I knew that was the ONE!”
The Suit
Matt and his groomsmen were suited by DuBois Formalwear.
The Rings
Sarah and Matt purchased their rings at Koehn & Koehn Jewelers in West Bend.
The Ceremony
Matt and Sarah’s wedding ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grafton, the church they had joined a year prior. It was and is a special place to them because it is their first church membership together. They hope to have their future children attend the school and church.
State Park Photo Op
The wedding party stopped at the picturesque Kohler-Andrae State Park for photos.
The Reception
The reception at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms was filled with drinking and dancing all night long! Matt and Sarah chose this wedding reception venue because they share a love of golf. The Manor Event Center is a separate building from the main clubhouse, making it intimate and private for their special day. The building features tall ceilings, beautiful beams, and of course, a huge bar.
The Food and Drinks
Guests were served various cocktails, including Tito’s vodka with a splash of cranberry, Captain Morgan and Coke, and Wisconsin old-fashioneds.
For dessert, guests enjoyed miniature Crumbl Cookies.
The Couple’s Favorite Memory
While sitting down at dinner, Matt and Sarah looked at each other and were amazed that the room was filled with people they know and love so much.
The Honeymoon
Matt and Sarah honeymooned at the Sandals resort in Barbados.
