How They Met

Ellie and Zach met online and had their first date at Hagemeister Park where they had lunch and began watching the Marvel movies in chronological order.

How They Got Engaged

While taking a trip to Maine, the couple decided to stop and spend some time in Niagara Falls, NY. While on the rooftop lounge of their hotel, Zach asked Ellie if she wanted to take a picture of the falls before they head out to explore. “When I looked at the camera to make sure I was in frame, I noticed his hand come up behind my head with a ring. I turned around and he got down on one knee.”

The ceremony featured floral arrangements by Archer & Bliss Floral covering the wedding arch.

Ellie says that one of her best moments was seeing all of their friends and family in one place and doing their “first looks.” But Ellie says that what really made their ceremony special was “having one of our good friends marry us. He made it personal to us and was beautifully short and sweet.”

Why did you choose your venue:
“When we first visited The Grain Loft, we walked in and immediately felt welcomed. The Grain Loft coordinators were extremely helpful and provided amazing support. The location and space around the venue was beautiful and spacious. Aspects from the old art gallery that used to be there brought beauty and uniqueness that we couldn’t have found anywhere else. The space also allowed our guests to be present but they could also walk around and enjoy every part of the venue during the wedding.”

Reception Details and Favorite Moments:
Ellie and Zach say that their reception was a blast. “The food was delicious and the frozen custard from Legendairy Cookie ‘N Creamery was a huge hit.” Jerry, their DJ from Best Time DJ kept the dance floor full the entire night. And the venue provided enough spaces for everyone to find their spot, whether they preferred to be on the dance floor or enjoying the summer night outside visiting with friends.

What Vendors Impressed You the Most?
Ellie and Zach say they were very impressed with several of their vendors including Archer and Bliss for the beautiful floral arrangements, Legendairy Cookies ‘N Creamery for the amazing frozen custard, Tea Time Photography for capturing their special day so perfectly, and Best Time DJ for keeping the party going.
