Kayla and Cody’s Wedding
A rustic Wisconsin wedding filled with endless love and laughter.
Months to Plan: 24 | Guest Count: 300 |
Music down the Aisle: My Best Friend- Tim McGraw (acoustic version)| First Dance Song: Better Together -Luke Combs
Kayla and Cody had been together for ten years when they embarked on a trip to the Rockies. They drove their side-by-side vehicle up Rabbit Ears Pass and hiked to the top of the summit. Kayla was basking in the view, and when she turned around, Cody was down on one knee with a gorgeous ring. “I don’t even remember what he said. I just shouted, ‘Yes!'” On the ride down from the mountain, Cody confessed to his fiancée that he had been planning the proposal since their last trip to Colorado four years earlier. They spent the rest of their vacation celebrating with friends and family.
Kayla found her dream wedding dress at David’s Bridal in Green Bay. The bridesmaids gowns came from Elaine’s Wedding Center.
Kayla and Cody tied the knot at Shawano County Park, where they would often go on dates when they started dating. The bride walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. Cody’s dad officiated the wedding, which made the ceremony extra special. “There were moments when nearly all of the wedding party, us, and my now-father-in-law, were in tears,” Kayla shared. When they were announced husband and wife, the newlyweds walked down the aisle together to their song, “Fishin’ in the Dark” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Kayla and Cody hired Kristine Stoll Photography as their wedding photographer. “She went above and beyond to help capture all of the moments of our day and was amazing to work with through the whole process.”
Kayla and Cody’s wedding color palette consisted of eucalyptus, gray, and neutral tones. Sunflower Wedding Rentals provided all of the décor, bringing the couple’s vision to life.
The celebration of love segued into the Menominee Casino & Resort reception in Keshena, with 300 guests present. “My favorite part was seeing everyone there who have loved and supported us the last ten years together as well as our whole lives separately,” the bride said. The party lasted all night, thanks to music from Beantown Entertainment, and many of their family and friends still tell them it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. Everyone, even Grandma and Grandpa, stayed until the party ended at midnight and headed straight to the casino afterward for more fun.
