Jenna and Austin are high school sweethearts! They both attended Xavier High School in Appleton, Wisconsin, and after 10 years together, they knew they were meant to spend the rest of their lives with one another.
Jenna and Austin have a goal to visit every National Park together. In 2021, they made a trip down to Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. During their first day there, they hiked to the viewpoint of Brandywine Falls, where they were the only two people. Austin proposed with the beautiful waterfall in the background. It was extremely fitting for them to get engaged out in nature.
Jenna found her dream wedding dress at Ivory Rose Bridal Boutique in downtown Appleton. After trying on about a dozen dresses, she ended up falling in love with a Phoebe gown designed by Cizzy Bridal. She knew it was “the one” when she began crying as she put it on and envisioned herself walking down the aisle in it.
Jenna and Austin exchanged their vows and said “I do” at Holy Spirit Parish in Darboy, where they both went to elementary and middle school. The church has so much character, with beautiful stained glass windows and elegant architectural features inside. Jenna’s favorite part of the ceremony was walking down the aisle with her dad and seeing her soon-to-be husband waiting at the altar. Seeing each other for the first time that day made them both emotional and relieved. (And yes, they both cried tears of joy!)
The wedding party stopped at Heesaker Park in Little Chute. The couple were glad they planned ample time between ceremony and dinner with local wedding photographer Kayla Le Blanc from KL Creative.
The newlyweds hosted their wedding reception at the Fox Club at the Timber Rattlers Stadium in Appleton. The venue was perfect for the size of their 200-guest wedding. The cocktail hour was held at Brews on Third, the outdoor bar along the third base line. Guests of all ages enjoyed plenty of food options and outdoor games. Dinner and dancing was held upstairs at The Fox Club, which is an open, airy space with lots of natural light. There was a 10-minute fireworks show, which was a huge hit and made the night extra special.
Mackenzie Liedtky, The Fox Club’s Banquet Sales & Events Manager, was the couple’s coordinator for everything related to the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. She was extremely helpful on the day of and helped things move along smoothly.
The Fox Club has an in-house chef who made all of the food for the cocktail hour, dinner, and late night snacks. The cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres included a guacamole and hummus tray, bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, and crab rangoon. There were three entrées for dinner: chicken Marsala, beef tenderloin, and butternut squash ravioli, plus a kids’ meal option for the younger guests. The late night snack was a variety of pizzas, which hungry guests gobbled up!
Dessert included cakes from Simple Simon’s Bakery in Appleton, with flavors including chocolate, wedding white, marble, raspberry lemon, and carrot. The guests’ take-home wedding favors were individually-wrapped cookies made by Kara’s Kookies in Little Chute. There was free beer and wine from cocktail hour until the end of the night as well as an open bar from 6:00 until 10:00.
As the sun was beginning to set, Jenna and Austin were able to step away from their guests and wedding party to have a private moment to themselves. At that moment, it really sunk in that they were now husband and wife. They felt extremely lucky to have a stress-free, fun day with absolutely gorgeous October weather.
