How They Met

Devin and Raine first met in high school, where they were a few grades apart. Their parents happen to be close friends as well. Raine was out with her family one evening when Devin showed up, which was a common occurrence. Eventually, Devin began asking Raine out on dates. Raine rejected him several times before finally agreeing. They finally hit it off, and the rest is history.

The Engagement

The couple took a trip to Nashville, Tennessee for Raine’s birthday in July 2021. Devin was so nervous almost the entire trip, which Raine could detect. However, she brushed it off since Devin refused to admit something was up.

On the final day of their vacation, the sun was shining, and Devin suggested walking to a park. Shortly after arriving, Raine’s brother Reid suggested snapping a photo of the two. Just as the photo was about to be taken, Devin pulled out the ring. Raine, of course, said yes! They called their loved ones to announce the wonderful news. Their families already knew Devin was going to pop the question since he let their parents know his plan before their trip.

The Gown

Raine found her dream wedding gown at Amelishan Bridal in Hubertus, Wisconsin. She tried on about eight gowns, the fifth of which she kept gravitating toward. She knew it was the one when she walked out of the fitting room and her mom, grandma, maid of honor, and mother-in-law all cried happy tears.

The Menswear

Devin and his groomsmen found their suits at Edith’s Bridal in Fond du Lac.

The Ceremony

Devin and Raine were married at La Sure’s Ceremonial Garden in Oshkosh. The view of the garden was stunning and captured the exact ambiance of what they were looking for. Devin’s godfather served at the officiant of the ceremony. Devin and Raine wrote their own vows, which made the celebration personal and extra special.

The Reception

Devin and Raine held their reception at La Sure’s Banquet Hall, where the dance floor was packed to the brim the entire night. There wasn’t a single moment when people weren’t dancing.

From the very beginning, the staff at La Sure’s Banquet Hall was outstanding. They were so helpful and kind, Devin and Raine recall. They loved the ceremonial garden space as well as the convenience of the connected hotel.

La Sure’s Banquet Hall truly went above and beyond for the couple. Just three weeks before the big day, they learned that their original wedding venue had double booked their wedding day. After calling several different places, La Sure’s, by some sort of miracle, had a cancellation and were available. The wedding coordinators were happily able to help finalize all of the details with the couple in such a short time frame. The day was perfect thanks to them!

The Food

La Sure’s, known for their scrumptious catering and bakery, did not disappoint! For cocktail hour, guests munched on various charcuterie boards. For dinner, the main courses were beef brisket, pork tenderloin, baby red potatoes, a California veggie blend, and a side salad. And for a sweet ending, a naked cake with cupcakes.  “The Dessert was to die for,” Raine and Devin describe.

The Couple’s Favorite Memories

The little, intimate details stick out the most for Devin and Raine, including the moments they were able to share together such as their first dance, sharing their vows, and their first kiss as husband and wife at the altar.

The Honeymoon

After they said I do, Devin and Raine took a road trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and took in the majestic mountain views.

Words of Wisdom from the Bride

“Don’t stress the little things! The day goes by in a blink of an eye,” Raine shared. “Take a deep breath, let the worries melt away, and remember that everything will work out. And if it doesn’t, no one will know but you.”
