Spotlighting Bride & Groom Fashions in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Libby from Savvy Belle Makeup cooked up this styled wedding shoot along with other fabulous vendors in Northeast Wisconsin.

How did she choose Hotel Northland in Green Bay for her backdrop? “I fell in love with the history,” she says. “When I walked in, I immediately got Old Hollywood vibes. I wanted to create a classic, elegant shoot to showcase that such a staple of Green Bay could be made into a stunning space for someone’s wedding day.”

Makeup and fashion were at the heart of this photo shoot. Gowns came from Green Bay’s Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique, with menswear from area favorite DuBois Formalwear.

We asked Libby if there are trends she’s seen emerging in the world of makeup. Here’s what she had to say: “Two or three years ago, we saw brides wanting to go full glam for their big day. We are now seeing a softer, more natural bridal look come back into play. Brides want to showcase the stunning features they already have, rather than contouring and face shaping.” This lovely, natural softness shines through in the styling of this photo shoot.

Gowns from Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique

Tie the Knot is a full-service bridal boutique in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They pride themselves on elegant, sophisticated, and unique wedding gowns to make dress-shopping a dream come true for brides. First established in 2006, the shop has since relocated to a shared space with DuBois Formalwear. “We have a wonderful relationship with them!” The gowns featured in this shoot are by Martina Liana and Essense of Australia. We’ll let Tie the Knot explain in detail:

“Martina Liana is one of our high-end designers that offers customizations to their couture gowns. This style is a sexy take on a modern bridal silhouette. It features a plunging V-neckline, beaded spaghetti straps and a sheer bodice with exposed boning. The off-the-shoulder puff sleeves with beaded cuffs add a touch of fashion-forward appeal and are also detachable. The lace details and delicate buttons add a hint of vintage romance to the glamorous gown.”

“Essense of Australia is known for their fashion forward romantic looks with gorgeous detail. This first style takes bridal beauty to the next level with it’s shimmer and daring details. The bodice is covered with intricate lace and beading, with sheer elements showing off the ornate details of the lace. The open back is framed with delicate beaded straps. To finish off the gown, a slit down the side of the skirt adds a subtly sexy touch.”

“Lastly, the second Essence of Australia style is the elegant wedding dress of your dreams if you are looking for the ultimate regal look! It features gorgeous off-the-shoulder straps, perfectly placed for a folded effect on the neckline and back of the gown. Sheer details in the bodice show off the ornate graphic lace, cascading down the skirt to the train. Layers of tulle create a subtly voluminous skirt, made for a dreamy walk down the aisle.”

Menswear from DuBois Formalwear

DuBois Formalwear is a go-to shop for grooms and groomsmen throughout Wisconsin. They have locations in Green Bay, Appleton, Sheboygan, and Brookfield. DuBois has been in business since 1954.
