Lab grown diamonds are REAL diamonds, identical down to the molecular structure.  Choosing the type of diamond that’s right for you is a personal decision.  Let’s break down the key differences between lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds so you can make the diamond purchase that’s best for you.

Lab grown and earth/mined diamonds have the same physical and optical properties all the way down to their molecular structure, lab grown diamonds are real as natural diamonds! What separates the two is the process in which they were grown.  They look identical, graded identical and with the exact same durability.

Earth/mined diamonds have environmental and humanitarian repercussions of natural diamond mining processes. Its nearly impossible to trace natural diamonds that are necessarily unethical. But it stands to reason that lab grown diamonds are more sustainable than those pulled from the earth. Its more sustainable to grow diamonds with abundantly available carbon and renewable energy. Growing diamonds is definitely energy intensive; however, the impact on the earth to grow diamonds is a fraction of the impact of diamond mining

Far as lab grown values, you can get a bigger, better quality diamond for a fraction of the price of an earth grown diamond.  Lab grown diamonds are less expensive than mined diamonds because of the heavy cost of mining. Lab grown diamonds can be 20-50% less than mined diamonds pending the offering of the 4C’s (color, clarity, cut, carat). Lab grown diamonds are a cost effective substitute to mined diamonds.
