“Crazy in Love” Shoot with 88 Events

Adding Colorful Ambiance to a Historic Oshkosh Venue

We recently held a styled wedding shoot at the historic Gibson Social Club in the heart of downtown Oshkosh. The space is industrial and a sort of blank slate. We worked with 88 Events of Appleton, Wisconsin, to coordinate the photo shoot’s vision and vendors as well as the flowers.

An Eclectic & Colorful Theme

​​”The theme of the shoot is very loosely inspired by vintage rock music with an eclectic modern take. Our main focus was to incorporate COLOR! We wanted a seamless blend of playful color, modern and whimsical design, and unique touches to showcase how individual elements can come together beautifully.”

Bold Florals & Simple Décor

“The florals are a mix of bold lively colors! We sourced a combination of seasonal local blooms and classic staples bringing together textures and varieties that would move and sway with our models. We wanted to add pops of color to soften and accent the industrial feel of the venue.”

“​​We kept the decor relatively simple so things didn’t look over designed. We focused on florals and lighting to help create a warm and inviting feel. We chose to highlight a few areas such as the staircase, head table, and ceremony arch. This is our approach to real weddings too. We help couples choose where they want to create focal points.”

Vendor Collaboration

Everyone brought their vision to the table, and because of the eclectic style of the shoot, everyone was able to really show what they can do. At the shoot itself, everyone was so hands on and helpful—a true team effort. ​​We loved being on site at the shoot and watching everyone in their element, doing their thing, and then seeing those skills produce some amazing images!”
