Ashtin and Jordan from Sturgeon Bay met at Southern Door when Ashtin was in 6th grade and Jordan in 8th. “He stopped me in the hallway and started talking about Pokemon,” Ashtin recalls. She says she backed away slowly and decided he was a bit odd.
When Ashtin entered high school, Jordan finally asked her out on a date. “I was a freshman and he was a junior. My dad was not impressed that he had a car, let alone a Mustang!” The two went to see a Twilight movie on their first date. Ashtin remembers that what stood out to her the most was what a gentleman Jordan was. “He opened all my doors and treated me like a princess. He’s been doing that ever since.”
In March of 2018, Jordan and Ashtin took a cruise from Miami to Grand Turk, Nassau, and Princess Cay. Ashtin was admittedly suspicious that Jordan might pop the question. She even checked their luggage multiple times searching for a ring, but she eventually gave up. On Grand Turk, the two signed up for a dune buggy tour of the island. One of the stops was a lighthouse. “I was taking pictures,” Ashtin says, “and Jordan was digging in the sand. He said ‘Hey, look what I found!’” From down on one knee, Jordan pulled out a ring. “It was an amazing moment! Grand Turk will forever have a piece of our heart.”
Ashtin and Jordan planned both their ceremony and reception at Stone Harbor. “We cannot thank Stone Harbor enough for everything they did. The entire staff went above and beyond to give us a wedding day we would never forget. Having the wedding all in one location made it so much easier to just enjoy the day. The Stone Harbor team did an amazing job of keeping everything organized and on point.”
To help bring a fairytale feeling to life, Jordan and Ashtin worked with Buds N Blooms for flowers — ”peonies, hydrangeas, and roses. It was just gorgeous!” The color scheme of the day was soft tones of light pink, grey, and greenery. For photos throughout the day, there was no need to leave Stone Harbor. “We were also able to get pictures with our two sweet dogs that are no longer with us today. That meant so much.”
Jordan started tearing up before Ashtin even reached the aisle. He says, “When I saw Ashtin walk out that door, I just remember thinking, how did I get this lucky in life? The moment really overwhelmed me.” The bride and groom decided to write their own vows and keep the ceremony a relaxed reflection of their goofy, laid-back relationship. “We had been together for 10 years prior to our wedding day and the ceremony really was a testament to those 10 years that led us to that point.”
After “I do” comes “I’m hungry!” Stone Harbor handled all of the appetizers and reception food. The appetizers consisted of stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, ham roll-ups (Jordan’s favorite), and shrimp cocktail. Dinner was served family style with plates of beef tips and chicken cordon bleu. “The food was amazing! None of the tables were ever waiting on food.” For dessert, there were mini cupcakes from Cupcake Couture — ”so yummy and affordable!”
The Bride’s Advice: Take Your Time
“Jordan and I made a pact that, at some point throughout the day, we would step away to just take in the day. We did that after dinner during sunset, and it was so nice. The day goes by so fast and it was nice to just take a moment to enjoy and appreciate it all.”

We had a lot of girls to get through and they stayed on time and did an amazing job! We had to start at 6:00 am that morning and there was 12 people that needed hair and makeup done. I really appreciate how amazing they were! My hair stayed in place the whole night. |
Rehearsal Dinner | Kitty O’Reilys | Kitty O’Reilys did an amazing job with our Rehearsal Dinner! They brought in a tent and had vases of flowers with candles on each table as well as the back bar was reserved for our use. The food was delicious and all came out on time. I could not have asked for a better rehearsal dinner. The crew at Kitty O’Reilys went above and beyond to make it such a special night for us and I couldn’t thank them enough for that! We were able to celebrate after dinner with our wedding party and that was the best part. |
Ceremony | Stone Harbor Resort | I cannot thank Stone Harbor enough for everything they did. The entire staff went above and beyond to provide us with a wedding day that we would never forget. The ceremony was set up perfectly. |
Reception ( catering & bartending) | Stone Harbor Resort | The reception was set up perfectly as well. I honestly did not have to lift a finger that day at all. It was all taken care of. The food was amazing. No one was ever waiting for more food to come out. They were very efficient with getting food out quickly. |

Flowers |
Buds ‘n Bloom | I would highly recommend Buds N Bloom to any bride! They made the wedding day so easy. I am not a DIY or crafty person so decorating that event space intimated me until I met Buds N Blooms staff. They took my vision and turned our wedding day into a fairytale. The flowers were stunning and lasting for a while after the wedding. Each table decoration was stunning. It made the ceremony and reception space look like a fairytale. |

She captured amazing pictures of us with our two dogs that are no longer with us and I won’t ever be able to thank her enough for capturing all of those amazing moments that day. I will never use another photographer. She is the best! | |
