Megan & Jason’s Classy Wedding at La Sure’s

Megan and Jason's La Sure's Wedding

When Jason asked Megan to marry him, he didn’t exactly pop the question on-air — but there was a radio station involved. Jason was working for a radio station at the time, and timed it so an audio clip of him professing his love for Megan came on air while the two of them were listening. The clip wrapped up with Jason saying that he planned to propose with his favorite song playing in the background. Cue the favorite song! Jason got down on one knee and asked Megan to be his bride. “Then we had to call into the station to let all the listeners know that my answer was yes!”

The couple planned a classy wedding at La Sure’s Banquet Hall. On the gloriously sunny day itself, Megan radiated elegance in a beaded gown with a gorgeous train. The groomsmen sported black tuxes, and the bridesmaids wore a lovely berry sangria color. To get from place to place, the bridal party enjoyed transportation by Prestige Executive Limousines.

The wedding ceremony was held at outdoors at La Sure’s Ceremonial Garden, just as Mother Nature intended. “Our friend married us. The weather was beautiful, and the ceremony was laid-back and humorous.” After they said “I do,” Jason and his groomsmen changed into Air Force 1 sneakers and Megan stepped into glittery kicks — in preparation for dancing the night away.

For the reception, the hall at La Sure’s was decorated in a sangria and platinum color palette, to match the bridal party. As a party favor, all the guests had mini flashlights waiting at their place settings. “For our grand entrance, we turned the lights down low in the hall and had everyone flash their flashlights to the song ‘All of the Lights’ by Kanye West. It was so fun!”

Dinner was catered by La Sure’s, with a buffet of short ribs, chicken, potatoes, veggies, and more. The La Sure’s Bakery made a three-layer cake for dessert — a different flavor for each layer. “The guests loved the cake! And there was plenty of beer.”

Following dinner, there was a short break before the dancing started. “We played the Shoe Game, where we held one of each other’s shoes and were asked a bunch of questions. We had to hold up the person’s shoe that best related to the question at hand. It was funny and our guests got involved.” As for the dancing: “It was a blast!” Looking back on the day, Megan says the moment that sticks with her most is being at the ceremony, standing with Jason at her side. Now as husband and wife, they’ll be forever at each other’s sides — and what better way to start that journey than with a wedding as beautiful as this one.
