Oshkosh natives Jaime and and Tyler were introduced the way many couples meet, via a mutual friend. After dating and falling in love Tyler popped the question to Jaime during a trip to Door County on the deck of the Washington Island Ferry.
The choice of where to hold the ceremony was deeply personal to the bride. Her mother’s backyard garden, whom they lost two years ago, gave the ceremony a special significance. “She would have loved it”.

Relying on personal experiences from other receptions at the Hilton Garden Inn, there was no question as to where the reception would be held. “I’ve never had a bad time at a wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn. I watched my brother marry his wife, my cousin and photographer got married there, and several friend. Lots of great memories.” Jaime decide on a theme of burlap and lace.

The meal, was a hit among everyone, especially the bride,“The food was great! We had chicken wellington, now one of my favorites.” Invitations were done by Marlene’s in Appleton and transportation by the local fixture Lamers. The classic white frosted cake trimmed in burlap was provided by La Sure’s of Oshkosh. Party rentals were handled by both Fox City Party Rental and Couture Events.
Looking back on their day the couple says that celebrating with their loved ones was the highlight, “Looking out and seeing a room full of our family and friends sticks with us the most.”
