About six months before the wedding save the date cards should be sent to everyone (mentioning plus-ones if also invited) that you plan on inviting, even those that have already verbally communicated their attendance. Whereas invitations tend to be more traditional don’t be afraid to add personal touches to save the dates, fun pictures or themes can create something that people will remember. The creativity doesn’t need to be contained to the content as the item itself can be a magnet, post-card, or any other format.
