High school sweethearts. Sounds cliche right? Jacob and I are exactly that. High school sweethearts, who went to college together and continued to grow together. Jacob’s last year of college he proposed…..the planning started immediately. I received my first wedding magazine and we started researching vendors. We decided on a fall wedding and that we wanted sunflowers. We ran with the sunflower idea and decided our colors would be yellow, black and white. As our minds continued to turn and we continued researching and touring places, we decided on Menominee Casino Resort for our reception. Slowly but surely everything started to fall into place. Through the entire planning process I told myself that the only thing that needed to happen on my wedding day was that I needed to get married. If I got married to Jacob, then all of the other things didn’t matter.

Our wedding day arrived and went by as fast as everyone says it would. We were too nervous to eat our dinner, we never got to try something off of our candy buffet, we didn’t get to say hi or take pictures with everyone, we didn’t get to catch up with old friends or even try our cake. But what we did do, was have the most perfect wedding day that we could have every imagined. We danced the night away, we laughed with family and friends, we had everyone we loved in the same room, and most importantly we were husband and wife. All of our details were spot on, and all of the stress and craziness of planning was worth it.
